Alpine Desert Insights is led by Kelsie and Ben, a team of data professionals with deep roots in research, analytics and statistics, and strategy.

Kelsie brings a decade of expertise in user experience research, with a background rooted in behavioral science. She attended the University of Texas at Austin for a PhD in Anthropology, where she developed advanced qualitative research skills and a passion for understanding how people make decisions. Kelsie launched her first consulting business in Austin, helping companies use research to develop true product market fit, conducting research to inform customer retention strategies, identify barriers to company growth, and uncover meaningful insights about their customers and markets. She went on to serve as a Senior User Experience Researcher at a B2B (business-to-business) SaaS (software-as-a-service) company, where she led large-scale studies to drive product direction and develop market expansion strategies. Today, she leads a thriving research team at a B2B SaaS company, scaling research operations to support product, design, and strategy across a complex organization.

Ben has worked as a Data Analyst and Data Engineer during his 7 years of experience in the tech world, mastering the technical skills necessary to move and transform data as well as the soft skills of collaborating with stakeholders and clients to bring a project to life. He has worked in a variety of settings, from a small startup to an enterprise company, and understands the challenges that each type of company may face when working with data. With his dedication to excellence, attention to detail, and technical skillset, Ben helps businesses make sense of their data and uncover valuable details. Whether working with small business owners or executives of large corporations, he excels in turning raw data into meaningful insights that drive strategy, efficiency, and growth.
